Meanderings, musings & life under apricot skies.

About Me

Welcome to Apricot Daze
My dad must’ve been channeling Jimi Hendrix this summer because as I was setting up this blog he asked if ‘apricot daze’ was a reference to the latest street drug!  No dad, it isn’t.

Apricot daze refers to the colour and feeling I often find myself experiencing in the crazy city of Cairo where I currently live and work as an international school teacher.  This blog is mostly a pictorial journal of some of the moments of my life in Egypt, my travels in and out of Cairo, and some reflections on teaching and learning.

I first arrived in Cairo in August, 2009, and hail from Nova Scotia, Canada.  Here, I hope to reflect on my experiences and share them with family and friends back home.  If you’ve stumbled on this site and something has peaked your interest, feel free to drop me a line.
